Q:What are you looking forward to with this project?
A: I’m excited to learn multimedia journalism and improve my writing and photography skills. I’m also really interested to learn about shooting and editing video. I’m looking forward to seeing parts of my home state I haven’t sen before and bring forth interesting stories from parts of West Virginia that might not otherwise be exposed.

Q: What are your long term goals?
A: I want to bring the news to the public in some way, either through photos or words. I want to travel – I’d love to work as an international correspondent for a large newspaper or magazine.

Q: Have you received any awards?
A: I was the recipient of the West Virginia Press Association Roy Owens Memorial Scholarship in 2007.

Q: What is your previous experience?
A: I have been a student photographer at WVU Photographic Services since October 2007. I was also a photography intern at The Dominion Post in the summer of 2008.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: Besides photography, I love reading, traveling, music and dancing.

Q: What are some of your favorites?
A: Books: The Great Gatsby, The Things They Carried, and On The Road.

Movies: American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
