Hometown: Summersville, W. Va.
Status: Senior
Major: Visual Journalism
Role: Student Contributor
Q: What are your work experiences in the field of journalism?
A: I’ve been a photographer for The Daily Athenaeum for three years, as well as a photography assistant for David Smith Photography.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: As a member of the WVU Marching band, I donâ€(TM)t have a lot of spare time, but when I get a break, I love to play video games, read one of the millions of books sitting on my coffee table, and drive the path less traveled in my Jeep Wrangler.
Q: What are your long term goals?
A: I love all things science related, especially space exploration and the discoveries and technological advances that result in it. My dream job would be to work doing multimedia pieces for NASA and getting people excited about learning and exploring.
Q: What are the challenges and rewards of telling multimedia stories in West Virginia?
A: For me, the most challenging part of telling a story anywhere is finding the story. West Virginia offers a lot of opportunities for stories, you just have to be willing to find them.
