Broadwater serves as a Professional Technologist for West Virginia University’s P.I. Reed School of Journalism. Broadwater is responsible for building and maintaining the School’s website and other web-based projects. Broadwater also provides consultation and expert advice on associated multimedia and graphic design elements.

A native of West Virginia, Broadwater received his associate’s and bachelor’s degrees – Commercial Design, K-12 Art Education and Graphic/Fine Arts – from Fairmont State University. Broadwater later completed his master’s degree in Art Education, with an emphasis in hypermedia at West Virginia University.

Broadwater has been employed with the West Virginia public school system, the International Academy of Design & Technology, Wheeling Jesuit University and Fairmont State University as an instructor, designer, or both. Broadwater returned to WVU as a Professional Technologist for the Office of the Provost and the P.I. Reed School of Journalism in April 2008.
